Bio

Clint Felts Clinton Felts was born on December 29, 1988 in Baltimore and received his first guitar at age one. As a child he would spend hours strumming incessantly and singing at the top of his lungs. It wasn’t until the summer of 2002 at age 13, however, that he began to learn how to actually play. Influenced heavily by U2 and Linkin Park (go figure…) he began writing songs and joined up with a couple friends to form his first band, Force 21. The band was short-lived (and pretty bad), but sparked a desire for Clint to find new people to play with.

In 2003, during his freshman year of high school, Clint joined up with Patrick Martel (vocals and guitar), Eric Meyer (bass), and Andrew Madigan (drums) to form Off Limits. The band went on to record two albums, Too Much Rain (2005) and Diamonds for Air (2007). While Clint did a limited amount of song writing for the band, his main contribution was on guitar as well as handling the recording and production of the band’s albums and live shows. The band started off playing at Mount St. Joseph High School (the school that three of the four members attended and eventually graduated from), but then expanded to play more gigs around the Baltimore area including The Fish Head Cantina and the famous Recher Theatre in Towson. After four years of playing together, the band parted ways in August 2007. At this time Clint left for college and began to write on his own.

Throughout his first year at college, Clint wrote extensively. He began playing solo shows at local coffee shops and at school, winning Mount St. Mary’s Acoustic Battle both semesters of his freshman year. At the beginning of the summer of 2008, Clint began recording what would eventually be his first solo CD: Simple Complications. The majority of Clint’s summer was spent in his basement laying down tracks and employing the help of Mark Misulia on drums and former band-mates Eric Meyer on bass and Patrick Martel who took the role of a producer as well as playing several backing instruments.

Finally, in early November Clint finished recording and mixing. His album, Simple Complications, was released on December 12. Clint has already begun writing new music for an upcoming release.
